<description>Very well written. I am a Westcoaster and always have been. I have read many times about the deep freezes in the Eastern Provinces and can not imagine what it must feel like. My late wife came from South Porcupine (next to Timmins Ont). I still have sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws living there, and they have tried to explain the bitter cold that they experience. You have given one of the better descriptions of the deep freezes that occur.

All the best in 2009
