I love the opportunities everywhere you go, you just present your BCAA card and you get discounts! It makes me feel happy to tell people to sign up for BCAA because it INDEED does pay for itself! Best part of my membership – was a perk of being a volunteer for the World Police and Fire Games. Thank you for rewarding thousands of volunteers for all their hard work and dedication.

The very best way to save money with your BCAA card is to shop at Cloverdale paint. I recently redecorated my place and picked colors from another paint store and then went to Cloverdale Paint on King George Highway in South Surrey. They matched up the colors perfectly and their paint is very easy to apply and covers beautifully. I got 30% of the price and boy, does that add up fast!! I will never buy paint anywhere else.

One of the easiest ways I know of to save on gas, is to follow what they do in Europe, when they are driving and come to a stop, at stoplights, or intersections that might delay you for a while, they turn off thier engines. I have tried this for some time now, and find that it does decrease fuel consumption noticably.

My biggest savings have come from my local BCAA office. The first one was my house insurance, I was surprised at the extent of the coverage at such a reasonalble price. Although I am retired I still do some part time work for the company I used to work for. This requires me to travel to various parts of the world and it was important to me to get health insurance coverage at a reasonable price. BCAA has been able to do this for me.
Thank you.

I don’t use BCAA savings because it’s not as simple as you might think. I have to remember which shop/service gives the discount, and on then remember to present my card. It’s the same reason I don’t use Air Miles.
Even if merchants provided some indication (door sticker, sign) that would help.. I know some do, but most don’t.
Colleen Porteous
24. Feb, 2010
My favorite savings category is Shops and Services. I love especially saving money on everyday things like Shoes from Payless. There are Mom, Dad and 5 kids in the family and we go shopping for shoes a lot. Its nice to know we have a little discount built in everytime!

have to worry if it’s going to be unclean or dirty or have
bad service .

You can always count on BCAA with your travel plans .

I find it difficult to even try and remember where I can get discounts using my BCAA card. Many suppliers do not advertise that they allow a BCAA discount therefore we miss out on the savings. Perhaps a simple card could be printed that lists all the suppliers that members could keep with them.

My favourite way to save using my BCAA Membership lately has definitely been at Cloverdale Paint. We have been renovating our new, old house since moving to Nanaimo six months ago and I have purchased gallons of paint and lots of painting supplies, all at Cloverdale Paint – saving much $$$.
It paid for this year’s membership – and more.
Thank you!

We have been members of BCAA for almost 20 years now and it is difficult to pick one category. We have home and vehicle insurance through BCAA and the staff are just the greatest! We just had our passport pictures done (mine 2 times) Another great experience. But I think I have to choose the automotive portion this time. No more worries about breaking down somewhere….help is just a phone call away. Kudos!!

This is because I drive around town a lot which
causes me to have to buy a lot of gas. By using my
BCAA member card I can save on my fuel purchases

Buy premium-grade fuel: earn 2 cents/litre
Buy more than 125 litres in a month: earn an additional 1 cent/litre
In-store purchases & services
Earn 3% in CAA Dollars on all eligible in-store purchases, car washes and car repairs.

A few summers ago while camping we were on the Coquihalla Connecter on our way to Kelowna and all of a sudden the tread flew off the rear passenger tire. Thank goodness for BCAA – we were in cell phone range and called and a BCAA tow truck came out and saved us on a 42′+ day. That same trip on our way home we lost the tread on the front tire just outside of Kamloops. BCAA was to our rescue. So, needless to say I like the roadside assistance part of my membership the most! It has come to be very handy!

I love the Husky Gas Station because I, not only get BCAA credit points, but I also get service from an attendant and clean windows or the cheapest car wash in town!
I have been a BCAA member of over 25 years (and an extra 18 years before that as a married person) and cannot imagine being without it. My vehicle died without warning a couple of weeks ago on a major street . I contacted BCAA and quickly they put me through to the place that would take care of my SUV. The BCAA tow service truck arrived in about 10 minutes after my call. Initially I was toild I may have to wait about 45 minutes. BCAA turned a very stressful situation into something that worked out just fine. A new battery and fuel pump later and I am back on the road. Thank you BCAA>

I use the BCAA card each time I purchase fuel at Husky gas stations to earn dollars that go towards the purchase of my BCAA membership.
I also save on hotels, travel insurance and travelling with my BCAA membership.
I saved on house insurance with my BCAA membership.
My BCAA membership came in handy recently when I accidentally left my vehicle running and locked the keys inside. Good thing it happened at home in my driveway. It wasn’t long before a tow truck was at my home and my vehicle was unlocked. Very pleasant experience with the person takig the call and the tow truck driver, especially since they didn’t make me feel bad about what I did.
Thank you BCAA!!!

The maps (directions on-line, too) and travel guides are great to have on hand during our summer road trips. My husband is the driver and I’m the navigator. Who needs a GPS anyway. And since we never know where or when we’re stopping for the night, it doesn’t matter because we always get BCAA discounts at motels.

As we live in an isolated area we don’t often get to take advantage of the advantages, bet every time we travel we take advantage of buying gas as Mohawk or Hursky. Thanks for the saving.

We have two SUV’s and find that by using the BCAA Platinum Plus MC our benefit points quickly mount up. This enables us to get our membership free each year with enough left over to put toward either our home insurance or a vehicle’s insurance.

Not only is reassuring to have your membership card with you at all times in case of vehicular problems, but, amazingly that little card comes in so handy for my lifestyle! A quick breakfast at ABC Country, or shopping in the mall at Escents…there are so many handy discount offerings! 10% might not seem like much, but, hey, it all adds up.

I am disappointed that Husky was mandated to change their fuel grades in BC. Outside of BC, Husky’s lowest grade fuel is 90 octane which was fantastic for anyone who’s vehicle recommends high octane fuel as a minimum. I was a regular Husky customer. Now, there is no advantage to buying at Husky as they now offer the same fuel octane ratings for the same prices. For the same money, you get better fuel at the other gas stations.

I collect points by purchasing fuel only now. I used to accumulate the most points through travel but am now taking my business elsewhere so I can get the personal touch from a travel agent. Sorry but I am disappointed in the closure of the travel department.
